rstcs1
I have a Dell Latitude D620 with OS X 10.4.6 installed. It has Sigmatel HD Audio, Broadcom Netxtreme Gigabit Ethernet, and Dell Wireless 1390 wireless G network. These three devices are not working properly. Does anyone know how I can get them working? Thanks! Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/18659-latitude-d620-drivers/ Share on other sites

tekno_guru
What wireless card worked out of box? I have a 1490 i am having issues with. When you install the OS, it sees the networks in the registration of the OS phase. But wont connect. Inside OS none of the airport utilities will recognize the card. The system profiler sees the card though. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/18659-latitude-d620-drivers/#findComment-134999 Share on other sites

The system profiler sees the card though. the 1490 works. using it now. I have the D620 too. Find the link in the 10.4.6 wiki to the D600 about wireless. You have to do the second part and enable it by changing the en0 to en1 in the networkinerfaces.plist. Reboot and and then it works. I have tried over 7 hours of work on the SigmaTel 9220. No go. Nothing works. even the kexts from 10.4.3. Dont know why. I saved myself the hassle and picked up the Turtle Beach USB sound card. popped in and solved audio. I havent had any luck with the Netxtreme card either. Iv come close by hex editing but still doesnt work. The hack for the 6xx doesnt work either. Oh well. I use wireless more anyway. At least my gma 950 looks amazing Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/18659-latitude-d620-drivers/#findComment-137338 Share on other sites

I wasnt able to adjust the resolution at the time. The next release from macvidia was GREAT though. Once that was installed, i had many many options in the display settings. the "Next" release is the current one from August of 2006. If you have the 110m for the d620, i suggest you use this driver. linux4guru
I have an issue with the wireless - after installation; I was able to connect to my wireless network, but after a reboot. My dell wireless card does not seem to work anymore. Has anyone experienced this problem? During the system boot using the -v, it detected the wireless card, but it does not work. Rammjet
look for the directions on the d600 and do the part with naming the en1 to en0 Actually, it is the other way around. Edit the following file and for wireless, change en0 to en1 and then below that, find <integer>0</integer> and change that to <integer>1</integer> Edit this file: /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/NetworkInterfaces.plist You can drag it to the Desktop where it will make a copy, then edit using TextEdit, then copy it back, answer 2 dialog boxes (dialog says can't do that -> Authenticate -> password -- and -- dialog for replacing the existing file), repair permissions and reboot. Or, use Terminal and use the command: sudo nano /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/NetworkInterfaces.plist Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/18659-latitude-d620-drivers/#findComment-245095 Share on other sites

SkyZ
Just a little info for this topic, on OSX86 (JaS 10.4.8 Intel SSE3, Semthex 8.8.1 kernel), D620 gives you colour banding with either Titan or Natit, but not on XP............. My D620 is on nVidia Quadro NVS 110M. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/18659-latitude-d620-drivers/#findComment-260027 Share on other sites
