kenneth2009
Hi All, I am a newbie who just had mac installed on my computer and it doesn't seem to work. The problem is that it loads into a screen with the Apple logo and then, shortly, prompts me to restart the computer. My specs as follows: AMD Turion x64 processor dual core 1.90 GHZ OS X Leopard HP TX1222AU Tablet PC. Appreciate your help. Thank you! kenneth2009
i tried booting with -v First boot, it stopped at ACPI: System State [s0 S3 S4 S5] (S3). Then i tried pushing the power button, it starts running again. With a couple of messages that reads "....family specific matching fails...." And the last two lines read (before it hangs): Sep 6 15:46:49 localhost diskarbitrationd[47]: unable to mount /dev/disk0s1 (status code 0x0000000F) Sep 6 15:46:50 localhost diskarbitrationd[47]: unable to mount /dev/disk0s3 (status code 0x0000000F) Sep 6 15:49:40 localhost kextd[10] IOKitWaitQuiet() timed out waiting to write kernel symbols PS: I am booting from disk0s2. Beerkex'd
I'm guessing unsupported South Bridge/drive controller (or if you're lucky, wrong BIOS settings). Find out what Southbridge/off-chipset PATA controller you have Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/184454-help-with-rebooting-issues/#findComment-1258148 Share on other sites
