Hiya,

I don't suppose someone would be kind enough to give me the Maxxus SSE3 kernel from 10.4.5 please?-

Further to my previuos thread, I've acutally got this thing booting (Needed VMWare to get around a very recaltrient drive), but now instead I've got the exact kernel panic described in this thread:

http://forum.osx86project.org/index.php?showtopic=15709

I'm currently reinstalling with the SSE 2 kernel, which according to that should fix it, but I either need the working Maxxus SSE3 kernel or another that actually works.

Please don't point me to torrents- Stuck on a uni connection :offtopic:

Something is still majorly wrong here though- I'm getting a journalling related kernel panic every time I try to bot natively. This leads me to believe that my Nforce 4 ATA is not properly supported, even though another user has got the board to work in the HCL with nothing like the problems I've got.

Thoughts please?

Cheers

:D :censored2:

Moving onwards, I've now got to the stage of

nfs_boot_init failed with 6

kernel panics. This is definitely something to do with the Nforce ATA controller

In one of the many formats, I tried the Nforce ATA driver that is floating around the board- No change there, other than the fact it complained of being unable to load the journal, and KPd on that. (Journaling was on at that point)

Anyone care to shed some light on this.
