So chuffed this morning.

Got Ideneb 1.6 Lite (10.5.8) working straight out of the box.

This is a fantastic installer.

If anyone wants the pics of the install for this board, with this

GA-965P-S3 (basically a P35-S3) board

Nvidia 7300LE (on dual screen using Plist edited NVCAP settings) using NVInject 2.1.0

3 gig of ram

I've installed the Azalia Kext for the audio, but its disabled in the bios so can't comment on this. But I have a MOTU card for music and it works flawlessly.

Absolutely everything works perfectly. Shut down, sleep, all satas, usb's. the lot.

I'm running LOGIC Studio 9 on it.

What a system!

Lucky {censored}.

I've tried to install iDeneb 1.6 on my Asus P5B-E Plus, but everything stopps soon after the installer are about to copy the files to my Mac partition. I don't understand what's causing this problem.

Maybe I need to disconnect all other harddrives and use a SATA DVD? But since the installer is booting fine from my PATA DVD and the installer finds my harddrive I guess it should work anyway.

Too sad, I would love to use OSX for music production.

awesome dude. I got iATKOS V7 running on my ASUS Laptop too...even though the wiki hardware page did not have my specs listed .

Now trying to get my WIFI and proper VGA to work.

Would hardly call the 965P-S3 a forgotten board! There is quite an active support community for it here and in runs all the way through 10.6.3 nice and smooth. Think it is the longest owned motherboard I have had since my 486, been running it for about 2 years now rock solid on OS X with a C2D 1.86 CPU. Thinking maybe sometime soon I will go to a quad core, but this motherboard isn't going anywhere!

If you are interested here is a fantastic thread that should help you get it going on Snow:

Was this any better than using the iAktosv7? I used the iakt... version and it worked as far as installations go, however my OS keeps crashing after some 5 -10 minutes or when I try to DL something... Just wondering if using the Ideneb version eliminates those KP stops

I've answered my own question: in a way yes.

For those new like me here is the run down or difference per-say:

From start to finish iAktosv7 was several minutes faster than Ideneb 1.6 (on my system), I would say it took roughly 10-15 from booting the cd, to installing the software, that is with me picking and choosing stuff like I know what Im doing (check the post count; I am a noob).

The Ideneb install took roughly 20-30 minutes... that's with me falling asleep at that ridiculous gray screen...I thought the disk didn't work at first since it was taking so long...

iAktosv7 took me like 20-30 attempts to get it right, yes, it would install, but then crash 10 minutes into a download, or perhaps that crash came from the workstation trying to sleep, beats me, but I kept at it. Though I got it working, it never worked quite right. I had KPs, sound issues, nic issues... all kinds of $h:t wrong...

Ideneb, took me exactly two, I say again dos, duce, ochi, 2 times to get it right... that may have come from learning experience, or the fact I learned to read on a speak&spell who knows, the fact of the matter is that the second set of choices for my drivers installed the system flawlessly... EVERYTHING WORKED even my video card...

Bottom line: Ideneb wins cause it only took me one reboot to get it done right and everything works ROTB, iAktos was great in the fact on my system it was fast way faster than Ideneb. However, I'm sure others will have something to say to that, but this/that was just my experience.
