TheRiste
I recently finally figured out a successful way to install OSX on my laptop but the problem is the display is broken and I have to use an external display so I can only get so far in the install in till it starts using the internal again even though I changed the setting in my bios to be VGA out. Is there anything I can do I would be great if any one could help me! I have a Gateway laptop.

vilpostus
http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/lofiversi...php/t42881.html Or use another distro. Or install with VGA driver. The problem may be in the driver. If you have no proper driver for VGA it will not work properly, so there will be no external monitor support. If the correct driver exist, then the two monitors work together even at the boot time. I don't know the model of the VGA card of yours, so can't tell which one to use. Only can suggest ATI init for ATI and CoreVidia for Nvidia cards.
