Time Machine vs Acronis(win)

Ho time machine attivo ma non ho mai ben capito se fa il backup dei singoli file e delle sue modifiche nel tempo o, avviando dal dvd di Leopard è possibile ripristinare un intero sistema (come acronis true image per windows).


Avrei bisogno di fare una copia di backup del sistema in modo che nel caso facessi casini con l'installazione di Snow Leopard potrei comunque ripristinare il s.o. precedente.

Carbon Copy Cloner potrebbe fare al caso mio o basta Time Machine?
