PhreaKwenCi
If I have to reformat and start again, I'm gonna be a bit aggravated. I used monolingual and restarted fine, then used xslimmer, and rebooted, got the old chameleon screen, not the one from the dellEFI125a and it went to the grey screen and then just shut down. so I rebooted, got to the same old chamel screen decided to try and boot into safe mode, it shut off again, and then when it rebooted, it couldn't find OS X, it now doesn't even load the chameleon screen. Just says: PXE-E61: Media Test Failure, Check Cable PXE-M0F: Exiting PXE ROM. Operating System not found How do I fix this? At least now I know to leave xslimmer alone... dammit. UPDATE: booted from USB disk to look into reinstalling and the partition for OSX is GONE! So I tried to erase and repartition, and it gave me a Disk Erase failed error: Input/Output error WTF?!? I found your post today. This should be a too slow advise, but I would like to suggest that this happens when you didn't select "Master Boot Record" in the "Options" of "Partition" menu. "GUID Partition Table" nor "Apple Partition Map" can't make the boot loader in your disk/USB stick. Therefore, the system looks for another way to boot. The system is fixed for network booting when it can't find any booting device. Please try to format the disk/USB stick by "Master Boot Record" option.
