OK,

I burned the disc at full speed, didn't work. Burned at 2x (on a different disc), still doesn't work so where to I go now? My problem is I get to 75% (or there abouts) in the installation and then it fails. I have tried without custimization options and with. And the problem still exists. I really want to get this to work... Is it my computer or me? Can someone offer me a solution? My spec is:

System Manufacturer EMACHINES

System Model E4208

System Type X86-based PC

Processor Intel® Pentium® D CPU 2.80GHz, 2794 Mhz, 2 Core(s), 2 Logical Processor(s)

BIOS Version/Date Intel Corp. CF94510J.15A.0028.2006.1213.1629, 13/12/2006

SMBIOS Version 2.4 Physical Memory 2.50 GB

I am going to install onto a seperate HDD to my Windows installation which is currently in the Apple Extended Journaling file system. Log says something about about packaging quit after error or something. Full spec attached and I will try and get a picture of the install log. Please help!!!

Thanks

check the installation log to see where the problem is!

Sometimes now it drops out of the installation completely and displays the log. It says some things about BAD_SOURCE_MEDIA and displays an error saying I should get a new DVD... What should I do now. I've looked it up and it seems on Macs removing dodgy RAM may fix it but I dont think that fix can be used on the iPC distro.

OK,

Now I have another issue, I walked away from my installer and forgot about it when it was installing leopard without any of the customization choices. I figured that it completed but I obviously did not take the DVD out once it had because I wasn't there. When I got back it was waiting on the Darwin boot loader waiting for me to press enter to load the DVD again. So I took the DVD out rebooted and it went straight into Vista. So I loaded up the DVD (again...) and the installer did use up 6.5GB of space so I assume that it either completed or screwed up at the end. The installer seems to have worked better without any custimization choices but when it is installed dont know if it would be runnable without the correct chipset kexts etc. When I again attempted a reinstall I got a brand new shiny error screen :) The installer logs says "The installer could not write the reciept for "System". I would really appreciate some help. THANKS
