overflow1972
Good evening, I have my system up and running with 10.5.7 Retail. I installed it by starting with a BOOT-132 CD (that I personally built) and a Retail 10.5.0 DVD. Now a friend of mine gave me a 10.5.6 Retail DVD, and I tried to install it by using the same BOOT-132 CD. ......it does not work. The installation begins (I see the apple image) but after about 1 minute, I had an error (the image of a circle with a line in the middle). By trying again (with -v flag) I found that the system does not find my HDD (I can not read the "Got boot device..." message) so the installation fails. Inside my boot cd I have : AppleACPIPlatform.kext AppleAHCIPort.kext AppleAPIC.kext dsmos.kext IntelCPUPMDisabler.kext IOATAFamily.kext I tried to change something but nothing changed. I even tried to add the 9.7.0 vanilla kernel to the BOOT-132 CD. Of course this problem is on the BOOT-132 CD. What can I do to solve it ? Dolina
How did you make your own Boot-132 CD? I've been trying to, but everything I do, fails. I'm also trying to install Leopard, but I have 10.5.6 Retail. Does using the 10.5.0 make a difference? Where do you get the ketxs from?
