I started to install Macosx x86 in my laptop, when booted from DVD, the Forbidden logo appears, what doest it mean ?, MY laptop specs is : ECS 600L Intel 915GM Chipset 512 RAM AC 97 Soundcard Built-in TV Tuner DVD-RW Dual Layer 15` WXGA Is there any possibility of incompatibility harwdware issue ?, Sorry for my Bad english, I highly appreciate for your fast answer, many thanks !! Guest xeniczone Posted May 16, 2006 Share Posted May 16, 2006 Are you using The origanal mac dvd? If you are it will not allow you to install because Mac only wants people to use Apple computers. bilboket Posted May 19, 2006 Share Posted May 19, 2006 Hi First when you install Mac OS on your PC you have to choose Configure button during install and select all necessary to your INTEL processor, and you won't have forbiden icon. Then with Intel 915GM Chipset you have to connect your laptop to an display else you will have an blue screen (with no activity of HDD and DVD player) or shunt 6 and 12 holes of the VGA connector.
