i work's with in and out jacks for headset, but my internal speakers are gone now...

any idea what needs to be done to make them active again?

try this AppleHDA.kext from the zip file. be sure to remove any traces of HDAEnabler.kext or azalia kext that you may have installed

if still unsuccessful then you may revert to the Applehda.kext by collit that you may have been using earlier. just install it with kext helper and repair permissions with disc utility.

remember you dont need HDAenabler.kext or any HDEF efi strings (for sound) with my kext.

I have the exact same problem as HoB. My external speakers don't work. Other than that, this works great! On VoodooHDA, everything works absolutely flawlessly, except for the fact that my internal microphone doesn't work. With this ALC268 kext, the internal microphone *actually* works!! I love that part of it, but now my built-in speakers don't work. :)

If only I could get the best of both.

Anybody figure out how to get the built-in speakers working with this kext?
