Mac R Oni
First of all my specs: ASUS P5W-DH-Deluxe, Core2Duo @2.4GHz, 4GB Ram, NVidia GTX 260 and Soundblaster Audigy Z2 running iPC 10.5.7. My History was installing iPC 10.5.6 then updating it via official software update to 10.5.7. Installing netkas NVinjector and drivers to get the GTX 260 working and Eugenes Soundblaster drivers from the forum. So, I have correct graphics including dual monitors, sound is working but I get this kernel panic alot of times during the day. Panic Screenshot I think it always happened when sound was streaming (may have something to do with that IOAudioFamily thing mentioned in the panic screen?), but I can't force it. I tried running iTunes, VLC and 10 YouTube Tabs for 10min but I didn't get a kernel panic. But sometimes just YouTube or iTunes itself can activate the panic. Does anyone have a hint what might be the problem? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/173250-occasional-kernel-panic/ Share on other sites

Does anyone have a hint what might be the problem? You're definitely right about it being an audio related problem. Remove the Audio kext you are currently using and replace it with the stock kext. Then tell me the model of your Sound Card. I'll find you a driver. =) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/173250-occasional-kernel-panic/#findComment-1191033 Share on other sites
Mac R Oni
alright thanks for your help, I unloaded and deleted my kXAudioDriver.kext. My Soundcard model is a PCI Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS. Do you have any experience with those?
