Junkpunch
I figure my mobo is just straight up incompatible, but just in case someone has an idea of something to try, here's what I'm running. MSI K9N Neo-F AM2 NVIDIA nForce 550 (Link goes to product page) AMD Athlon 64 X2 4600+ A pair of WD 160GB SATA hard drives A pair of Lite-On SATA DVD burners First boot attempt ended here After that I tooled around in the BIOS, and the only change I made was IDE CONTROLLER = DISABLED and second attempt ended here So what do you think? No-go on this setup or something I'm overlooking? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/172530-ideneb-1056-hang-on-boot-pre-install/ Share on other sites
MGJulius
You probably need the newer AppleNForceATA.kext to use instead of the old one. Find it here: clicky For the time being set the SATA mode in the BIOS to ACHI. Then install, reboot, install the driver, and switch the mode back to IDE (ACHI can give Windows a BSOD w/o proper drivers) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/172530-ideneb-1056-hang-on-boot-pre-install/#findComment-1186762 Share on other sites
