My HP notebook, which I have almost worked into a good machine, a Hack-in-tosh!! works very, very well... except that iChat, Photobooth, Image Capture...etx.. cannot find webcam.

Webcam is a Suyin Corporation product, prod ID: 0xC107, Vendor ID: 0x064e, and a

Location ID: CN0314-530C-DV04-VH-R02.02.01, Vers. 11.25

OS X apps cannot find the camera, it does show as a USB device.

Can you direct me to proper driver(s), procedures, prayers, hacks, whacks and so on... or a Grand Guru, please...

I am very much a noob, but willing to adventure, abd it was easy to install iPC OSX86 10.5.6, only took 17 or so tries, but I have been able to work out what I needed to get most everything else to work....except for the webcam, which I would like to use to video-speak with family (Skype) far from here...

Please, let me know if you can help.... HP so far, sucks, their FTP will not allow downloads of drivers, just sits there & dings pages until it times out...

ANYONE....please??

I have a HP pavilion dv5 series and using iAtkos 10.5.4 the web cam worked out of the box. Is the cam "dead" ?or is just with certain programs? also, I do not know if you like this idea..but you can get a USB web cam that works for $10- just look in the working hardware section.
