webking
Hi men, I'm discovering this fantastic website! Thank you for all your work, you're the best! So I'm pretty a noob in hackintosh world: I've managed to mount on my pc iDeneb 10.5.7 and all is ok, except audio. My board, which is a Foxconn Blackops X48 (with SB ICH9) with two Gigabit 5786 ethernet cards. While installing iDeneb I've notished there is some kext 5784 but is not working for my board... Another thing: I've installed iDeneb without ICH drivers which make the system hang on boot. I've only used JMicron and ALC885 (for audio). Someone can help me with ethernet cards? Thank you! insanely_stuck_up
probably not. for some reason people on basically all the osx86 forums refuse to answer questions regarding this esoteric art. of course, these folks will just say you havent done enough homework. but in many cases, you need to know entry level programming (writing own kexts) or at least familiarity with bsd and the like. wish i could help you sir, but i have no idea outside of you finding (or writing) a kext that "fits the bill" because of an underlying similarity with other ethernet chips. much like installing an alternate ralink driver for the wusb45g linksys wireless adapter (that is within windows) have fun with your hackintosh and be patient. measure twice cut once Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/170088-foxconn-blackops-x48-gigabit-5786/#findComment-1212107 Share on other sites
