So I tried 10.4.2 when it came out, found it rather buggy with lack of support, so I waited till 10.4.6 and a little better driver support (3rd party of course)

I installed 10.4.6 with all the applicable AMD patches, got the nVidia beta drivers and successfully got 1680x1050 resolution!

My questions are as follows:

1. Why do I have to boot off DVD every time? It seems like it didnt install an OS loader.

2. Is it normally that choppy? When I move a window around its just very choppy, not very OSX like.

3. Audio? I have AC'97 and an X-Fi...seems like AC'97 is the way to go, where are the drivers?

4. Logitech keyboards, specifically the G15. Any way to get it working?

5. Does anyone use x86 OSX on their PC as their main OS?

Thanks for your time to read/respond!! Again sorry for stupod n00b quesitons.

I think I might be able to help you out a bit with your questions.

1. Why do I have to boot off DVD every time? It seems like it didnt install an OS loader.

What does it do if you don't have the DVD in there?

2. Is it normally that choppy? When I move a window around its just very choppy, not very OSX like.

You have a mouse tearing problem. Try looking for a guide on fixing that.

3. Audio? I have AC'97 and an X-Fi...seems like AC'97 is the way to go, where are the drivers?

Here is the kext you can use to get it working.

4. Logitech keyboards, specifically the G15. Any way to get it working?

I'm not sure why it isn't working. Try starting up with a different keyboard and then plug in the Logitech G15 after it has loaded the OS.

5. Does anyone use x86 OSX on their PC as their main OS?

I do and I really enjoy it. It works great for me.

I hope I helped you out a bit

Thank you for the quick response!

What does it do if you don't have the DVD in there?

Just hangs. After "boot from DVD" menu it just stops.

I'll check that out too

Well my Mac buddy says Logitech keyboards dont work in OSX...which is odd to me because if the bios can read the input, there are no drivers necessary. I have tried your suggestion to no avail.

Awesome!! I cant wait to get mine working. Would you say its just like a G5 performance wise? Like would a mac person be able to tell?

I'm not sure if you've gotten any of your other USB devices working, but if not, try loading the IOUSBFamily.kext from 10.4.3 - I used this method and now all my USB devices work well. If the rest of your USB devices work, then I'm not sure what the problem is, but if not, try starting here
