Akasha
Hi I'm currently trying "Xelabo's Mac OS X 10.5.5 VMware Image" with VMware Player On Windows XP SP3. My spec are : 2,01Ghz AMD AThlon 64 X2 Dual 3800+ 1Go DDR2 Absolutely everything is Setup and Work as intended (Ethernet, VMware Tools, etc.) My problem is that Leopard run extremely slow even while idle. I know this has been discussed many times but I try every solution I could find on this forum and on other website but nothing worked I'm nearly sure it's not a "normal" slowdown due to the way my mouse, my screen or folders acting (from 2 to 6 seconds). For example downloading files at normal speed is ok but compiling tiny C/C++ file with BCC (thanks to XCode) is really long ! I only need this platform to compile a project on Mac. I will probably try older Tiger version of this VM image but doubt this will fix my problem. Please could you help me ? Akasha
So I try the same Image with my laptop : Dell XPS1330 2Ghz intel core 2 duo 2go DDR2 dual channel NVIDIA GeForceTM Go 8400M GS with 128MB dedicated DDR3 graphics memory I allowed 1024Mo and even 1280Mo of RAM in VM but even if the performance are a little bit better I still get that kind of very slow reaction. Fortunately I successfully compile my project with GCC and XCode but it take all night long to compile the libraries... While less than a minute to compile my project. There is definitely something strange there... Could you help Me ? PS: Also did the power saving tricks for CPU fluctuation.
