What kind of laptop would you recommend?

Hello InsanelyMac users,

 

I'm new to the whole OSx86 Project and would like to do iPhone app development. First of all, has anyone had any success with using a hackintosh to develop iphone apps with Apple's sdk?

 

And secondly, a question open to everyone. I have been searching netbooks and laptops for a good deal and good compatibility with OSx86. I am looking to spend anywhere from 300-700 USD for a reliable machine.

 

So my question is, If you could recommend a specific brand and model of a laptop to install OSx86 on, what would it be and why? The only requirements is that I can purchase it in the US (online preferably), it has a greater resolution than 1024x576 (too small for my tastes), it is ~$700 or cheaper, and its hardware has to be completely or almost completely compatible with OSx86. Level of installation difficulty is negligible (as long as there is some sort of install guide out there) and I am open to all opinions. If you have a really good install you would like to share, please include the specs so I can look into it and get a quote.
