zeba
Okey, I think this is one of the more popular mobos and would like to slim down the P5K-VM tutorial thread to one that focuses on the Sleep issue, the biggest problem with the board. So please, IF sleep works for you, post your setup, from OsX version to BIOS settings to Kexts and other relevant info. Thank You! BlackCH
It seems is a problem related with USB ports. I have tryed: -Stock 10.5.7 USBFamily.kext + VoodooEHCI.kext: Sleeps but after awake restart doesnt works, corrupt BIOS settings (needs to setup again). Shutdown works. -10.5.5 USBFamily.kext: Not good, loose all USB ports -Stock 10.5.7 kexts + customized DSDT: I got two versions, one sleep but imediately wakes up. The second version sleeps, but after awake restart doesnt works, corrupt BIOS settings, shutdown works. In all cases using OpenHaltRestart.kext didnt make a difference. I still need to check lastest Slice USB kexts to see if they solve something. The only way I had sleep working properly was by using 9.5.0 Voodoo kernel. The voodoo team is working now on a new 9.7.0 updated kernel, so that is our best chance. They say alpha testing will start this week hopefully Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/168820-p5k-vm-sleep/#findComment-1167645 Share on other sites
zeba
Thanks for your reply! I'm on iDeneb's 10.5.6, and have tried with both Vanilla and Voodoo 9.5.0 kernel. In both cases when going to sleep, some fans still keep running, and I can't wake up..
