tpb7463
Hi All, Yes, first post, gotta love it. So I've been working on a project for quite a while that is essentially a very nice, dual-processor workstation. Specifically, 2 x E5520 (2.26GHz) Intel processors Asus Z8PE-D12X Mobo 6 x 2GB of memory GTX 260 Audigy 2 ZS 4 x 500GB Segate 7200.12 Barracuda's ( Raid 5 via motherboard hardware ) (Disk 0) 1 x 80 GB Western Digital Caviar (Disk 1) I've already got a copy of Windows 7 on it, and its great. Making it a hackintosh would make is that much more awesome. (Mac Pro, anyone?) The installer has been a pain to say the least, and absolutely refuses to boot. I've tried numerous distros that have all failed: Kalyway 10.5.2 (Still waiting for boot device / Kernel Panic (Depends on boot options)) iAtoks 5i ( Still waiting for boot device ) iDeneb v4 ( using 16384 buffer headers and 4096 cluster IO buffer headers ) I apologize in advance if fixes are posted somewhere; believe me, I've been looking hard. ( Day 3 of fiddling ) I can't find a combination of : -v -s -f , rd, cpus, platform to work. Drives are configured as AHCI in BIOS. But, any suggestions / possible fixes? Maybe another distro to try? If I've neglected any important info, please, let me know. TY in advance. tpb7463
So specifically, " using 16384 buffer headers and 4096 cluster IO buffer headers " Is there a fix to this error? I've been getting that one the most. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/168370-help-with-mac-pro-clone/#findComment-1165721 Share on other sites
