Is there any hardware configuration identical to Intel-Macs, that allows installation of OS X w/o any patch?

Brighttie,

There might be but no one on this forum has figured it out yet. Your the bright one. Figure it out and let us know how you did it and with what hardware configuration. We all want to avoid having to patch or install using the dvd builds that have been developed by our friends "The great one with no name", Jas and Myzar...lol

Sorry, but had to mess with you. Do you honestly believe all this talk about loading, patching and editing this plist has happened just because we want too? No. It's because no one has been able to fully hack the OSX without having to run the hacked patches to get it to run on non-standard MAC intel hadware.

what a jerk...

Could be that all this patching and hacking is because people are trying to get osx running on stuff they already own, seems like this guy is asking what he should buy based on what people have already determined. Now surely he could use the forum search or the HCL to find out that info, but there isn't any good reason to be such a wise ass about it...

NO mobo exists that is widely available that has EFI. So, you have to have patches.

All Intel 945 chipset boards are EFI-compatible. However, all that means is that it is possible for Intel to one day release a firmware upgrade to use EFI. Presumably they already have something internally that does it. So, if you were going to break into Intel's R&D centre in Israel and take the firmware upgrade on "unauthorised loan", you'd have a lot more options.

other than that - just buy a mac, for crying out loud.

EDIT: Oh, and Sony SZ laptops come with TPM + Core Duo (I believe its the SZ series). Don't know if there are mac drivers for whatever TPM chip they use, but it has a TPM all the same.

TPM, most likly, wont happen and isn't necessary. An EFI hack, that uses the efi insted of working around it, would really help the few people who have efi on their mb. Some of apple's drivers (graphics for example) use efi.
