emotional friend
ive got a acer as5920g with a 8600m gs 256mbvga works fine but hdmi wont It's a known issue with the 8600 chipset, I believe. I've encountered it with my desktop system, and it looks like you've got it with your laptop version of that video card. Check this thread: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...amp;hl=8600+VGA Pay attention to the part where the guy says he tried a newer LCD display and that worked. It could be the size / resolution of your external monitor. In any event, I recommend you research this issue within the graphic hardware forum. Just doing a search for '8600m VGA' brings up a LOT of relevant posts to your issue. Good luck, Emotional Friend Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/167115-vga-works-but-hdmi-gives-black-screen-on-laptop-and-tv/#findComment-1199791 Share on other sites
