But before I do I would like the blessings of the community and was curious if I should take out some of my RAM (i got 8gigs on a vista 64 bit install) I was planning to install osx86 on seperate hard drive. noneedfor_id Posted May 19, 2009 Author Share Posted May 19, 2009 I just tried it and i still get a kernel trap at 0x0019a198 and bsd process corresponding to current thread: unknown I think i loaded the proper drivers for my configuration im at a loss. LouCioccio Posted May 19, 2009 Share Posted May 19, 2009 Try looking at BIOS setup. I followed a setup guid to the letter not realizing my CPU was slower than the one they used in the guide. Kernel panics could be hardware specific. Use the min amount of ram. Don't overclock the cpu let it be stocked. See if that helps. I used a P5W and E4400 CPU and 667Mhz ram. I used the Kalyway at 10.1 did not update followed the instructions on a retail install which was make an ISO image. So I have the Kalyway drive an IDE installed but NO power to why have it run when I only need it for OS upgrades. Let us know what happens.
