Macintosh IIsi
Hey everyone, I have recently got os x 10.4.6 (semjaza decrypts) running natively on my pc. No problems there. It wouldn't allow use of my onboard ethernet so I reformatted, installed xp, burned off a cd with the hacked FreeBSD kexts and am going to try getting onboard lan with osx, and i'll let you know how that goes in the appropriate thread. My main problems/concerns are 1) I have an SSE3 processor, so why is the install only working for me with the SSE2 patch? (I think I may have read something about setting osx to boot with just 1 of the cores with a dual core cpu?) 2) Currently I prefer to run windows as it has all the drivers for my devices, I really only want to drop into OS X every now and again, I'm only interested in it to learn to code for mac. I cannot currently get OS X and any windows intallation (XP PRO (SP2), XP Pro X64, Win 2000 (SP4)) to play nice with each other using OSXs disk utility to create two partitions etc etc. I have decided to try using the method described in the windows on mac challenge, as boot camp beta seems to have it in for me, it wanted me to upgrade OSX despite having no net connection and would probably break the patches huh? Anyway any general comments on that method adapted to PC (I see no fundamental differences) would be appreciated. lood
to boot directly from xp to osx or to choose wich one from the start, run acronis boot selector, it works for me like a charm.
