Iphoto is a very nice app but I hate its behavior: the lock-in of your tags and metadata in its f*cking db and the fact that is very difficult to share your picture over lan with non-Macs.

Today I tried Picasa Beta ( http://picasa.google.com/mac/ ) for the first time and I think it is very cool, it is integrated with Mac style and it can search among iptc and xmp metadata in your pictures. Another bonus is that you can keep your photos and videos organized in folder as you prefere.

Which software and features do you use to manage your pictures?
