VMware installation using darwin and tiger image successful and also runs well *ON* the VMware. But it never boot up in Native mode. Never. -s -x -f ? I tried but failed also. And today, I tried Native DVD installation (with patch applied). BUT... failed... (freezes on apple logo) I'm desperate now and need help!!! Anyone succeeded with ASUS W3N notebook ? When boot up, Error Message was something like this: ~ problem with IOUSBUserClient Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/1632-asus-w3n-notebook-cant-install-or-boot/ Share on other sites
mactogo
Have you tried the magical "platform=x86pc" command? I have an ASUS S1N Intel855GM chipset. Installed OSX via dd method to a partition. The installation would also hang on the white apple screen (without the moving circle at the bottom) and even when booting in safe mode. The only way it boots for me is the command "platform=x86pc -x". Pretty much everything works, even ethernet, but sadly no sound. Just relaying my experiences and hope this helps you out.
