Well I have downloaded the iPC OSx86 10.5.6 I think but after extracting it, it doesn't have just one ISO file, but loads and loads of files and folder which is confusing. What do I do? Burn the whole lot to a DVD and boot from that? Or search for the ISO somewhere deep down in the folders? Also, Is it a beta of final release? Because in the readme it says beta but somewhere on this site it says its the final. Also, does it work with AMD? Thx

I'm thinking that the ISO you are using is being identified as a RAR or something else. Winrar can display the entire contents of a ISO file. This happened to me last week and confused me also. If it is a true ISO just burn it as normal and it will work.

Well I don't quite think I am understanding your answer but I have extracted them all already. If you want, I will attach a screenshot of what the files and folders are called. The biggest file in all 7,000 [16,300 files actually, and 7,000 folders.] (I found this out by right clicking>Properties) is called 'Archive.pax' which includes in it a file called, strangely, 'Archive.pax' This file is just under 2.5GB, now is that the only thing I have to burn to the disk or should I just burn the whole folder holding the 7,000+ files altogether? Sorry if I misunderstood your answer.

no problem, I probably didn't explain it well. If you have a ".ISO" file my guess it is a true ISO file. I'm not sure if you are on a MAC or PC right now but when I downloaded the ISO file on my PC it thought it was a WINRAR file. It just so happens WinRAR has the ability to look into the ISO file so it looks like the entire OS file structure when you click on it.

This is what confused me also. However, it still is a just an ISO. Try just burning it. I bet it will work. Let me know what system you are on, programs using to burn, etc if you still don't understand.

hope it helps.

Yes, thank you very much, I now fully understand what you mean. So essentially, this is the insides of the ISO file I am seeing right now? I am on Vista ATM although this is my test device, if it works properly on this, I will do it again, but permanentley on my XP computer. I am gonna use just the standard Windows burning tool if that works, although I remember when doing it for Vista, it was an ISO file and I clocked it and a CD burning utility opened up (I can't even remember WTF it was :P) and it burned it onto the DVD and it worked perfectly. Ok, so I should just burn the complete 'Completely Extracted OSX' folder to a DVD?

yes, i believe you are seeing what is in the ISO file. Just burn the ISO to the DVD. You should not have to do anything with folders. Point your DVD burning software to the ISO and press "burn" :P

Ok, what you mean by 'You should not have anything to do with folders' I don't understand. As yuo may have gathered, I don't actually have access to the single ISO file, just a folder named something like Completed OSx86 Download with all of the contents. Should I:

a ) Burn the 'Completed OSx86' with contents onto the DVD, or

b ) Burn the contents as they are already in the folder. Sorry if this sounds really weird and confusing but I mean: Burn everything in 'Completed...' onto a DVD

So I should do b, right? Sorry to make this sound really tedious but this is my dads almost new HP Laptop and I really don't want to screw up

The DVD needs to be bootable and I have only been able to burn a complete ISO to make this happen because all the necessary info is in the ISO. If you just burn the folder it will just be a DATA DVD and not be able to boot. I am sure there is a way to make it bootable but I think it is more complicated and I can't advise you more.

Are you sure you just have a folder with the OSX files in it? Or are you just looking into the ISO file? You should have just downloaded one ".iso" file that you burn to a dvd. Do you see anything with .iso extention?

Grr this is becoming mmore and more frustrating for me, well no, I don't seem to see any ISO file although I haven't actually looked through EVERY one of the 16,000 files, but I'm pretty sure there isn't one. This is really annoying for me now ;) And I know I should have downloaded one ISO file, its just that I didn't know what it was, I got from TPB. Is there any chance you could fine me one please? I have searched through demonoid and TPB but that seemed like the only one. It has to be iPC OSx86 10.5, 10.5.6 preferrably but if its an older version of Leopard, it doesn't matter. Thx in advance

EDIT: Do you think this is ok or as it doesn't have any comments saying wether its good or not could it be a fake or a virus? http://isohunt.com/torrent_details/6297566...5.6?tab=summary

i got mine from TPB also. It was just one iso. are you sure you didn't unzip it and create all the files. That was my mistake also the first time. I will send you a PM with more info. Don't get frustrated!

Ok, thanks so much for the help and I'll search on TPB to see if I can find a single ISO one :)
