I use iTunes in both windows and OSX and have about 50+ playlists that I am constantly editing. All my music is on a NTFS drive separate from my OSX and WIndows installation. So far the only way I have been able to syncronize my playlist between both OS's is by exporting my library to a XML file every time I shut down Windows, opening it with a text editor in OSX, replacing the windows path names(file://localhost/E:/Music/) with the OSX equivalent(file://localhost/Volumes/Media/Music/) and then re-importing the edited library. Can someone please come up with a simpler way to do this?

Are you running Windows and OS X on the same machine or two different machines. If they are different machines, one option would be to choose one machine to be the home for the library (where you would do all your editing) and then share the library with the second machine.

If you have one computer and you're dual booting, I'm not sure what else you could do. Try using Automator to simplify the process of editing the xml file. You can probably write something to automatically change the path and re-import the file. Also, check to see if you can simply copy over the iTunes library files ("iTunes Library" and "iTunes Music Library.xml") from one OS to another and overwrite them instead of doing an export/import. If the file formats are the same between the two operating systems, this might work.
