I got the Tiger image copied over to a 20gig harddrive and got Darwin to boot, but I can only use -x, else I get a message in 4 languages telling me I need to restart my computer (which, as you can expect, does nothing).

Also, once I do boot with -x (into Safe Mode) OS X runs very, very slowly, slower than PearPC. I've tried reinstallation (I use dd 0.3 and Windows to partition and copy the image over to a spare harddrive).

Anyone else having simmilar problems of either kind? Any suggestions? Ideas?

Post your system make, model and other specs so we can get a better idea.

Also, for the speed issue, go here:

and delete AppleTPMACPI.kext from /System/Library/Extensions, then reboot.

Probably a good idea, eh? Here they are.

AMD Athlon 64 3000+ @ 2.0gHz (SSE2, I have patched OS X x86 from SSE3 to SSE2 with maxxus's v0.4 patch)

1024mb DDR @ 400mHz

nVidia nForce 3 250gb mobo

ATI Radeon 9800 SE

Linksys LNE100TX Fast Ethernet Adapter(LNE100TX v4)

C-Media AC97 Audio CMI9761A

I think that's about it.

Thanks for the help.
