schnitzelbrain
Hi, I have, with very little problems, my System running under 10.5.6. I started with Kalyway 10.5.2 and got up to 10.5.6 by apple updater with using the pre/post patch thing. MoBo P35DS3 Rev1 Q6600 @ 3000 4GB Ram @ 800 GTS 8800 320 Gracard ALC889A and running from a ext USB HDD 80GB. So far so good. system is rock stable and I-net working via WLAN. No dual Boot as I connect my HDD when I want to use OSX. If unplugged Vista Boots. Now my question: During first Install and also at the post patch point I was asked to select the Kernel, LAN, GraCard and so on "Drivers" For the SATA drivers I was not shure and selected several including the ICH9/10 Mmmmhh, exept of the Voddoo Kernel, the NVidia Inject and Darwin 320 + the soundcard, I pretty mutch selected what was avail or seemed to be ok for me. Now takes OSX, out of my selections, what it needs and are the other drivers ignored ? Or is there maybe a kernel panic sleeping inside now, waiting for the right moment to come ? Example: In the About this MAC it shows my RAM running with 667MHz but in the BIOS 800MHz is selected. Is there a way to change the Driver for that ( I remember I selected all values 667 up to 1333MHz at the config during install.) To mention again it runs stable for hours but when snow leopard comes and maybe going to do EVI via chamelion. I wanne make shure the system is properly configured.
