Radoslav
Hi I have gma900 graphics card and the monitor issue is annoying. However I did the 2 wire trick and now it works just fine. But everytime I restar my PC the system recognises 2 monitors- my main 1280x800 and one 800x600(the vga i suppose). Well in that case my mouse goes off the screen and i need to drag it long time to get it to my monitor. If I click detect monitors the other 800x600 monitor disapears and everything is as it should. Now my question: How can I permorm detecting monitors at boot, because my dad cant do this everytime(lack of skills)? Thanks in advance Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/15658-detect-monitors-at-system-start/ Share on other sites
mark7714
This annoys me too. What would be better is saving the info after the detect display, and not having it redetect display every time it boots (it takes about 5 seconds out of boot time.. not much, but when you have a 30 second boot time, that's 1/6th of the total). I don't know if this is even possible, but it would be awesome. Anyone know? P.S. If you go to "Displays" in "System Prferences" there is acheck box for "Show displays in menu bar." When that is checked you can just click on the little monitor icon in the menu bar and "Detect Displays" is an option there. It stream lines the process if nothing else, and might make it easier on your dad.
