[SOLVED] ALC883 not working on 10.5.6

Hello,

 

first of all, i want to thank everyone who made it possible for me, to run osx on my machine. this is an awsome os.

 

actually i'm running osx 10.5.4 (updated kalyway) on an Asus pk5-vm with enabled sound.

Yesterday i tried to upgrade to 10.5.6 with iDeneb, where everything was fine, except the sound. I've tried every kext i could find and even some AppleHda patches, but none of the worked for me.

Of course i tried both driver for alc883 shipping with idenb.

 

I thought about trying a retail installation, but i don't see, that there is a better chance to get my sound running.

 

every hint is appreciated, a new installation is no problem for me (thanks to timemachine).

EDIT: this tip made my card working: Alc883 working kext . thanks a lot once more!
