Help - New to OSx86

First off, I appreciate any amount of time anyone spends helping me.

 

My hardware --

 

intel e8400 @ 3.8ghz

gigabyte p45 ds3p

4gigs ddr800 ram

250gb sata hdd -- western digital

 

 

Okay... I currently have a copy of iAtkos burned on a disc and after installing i kept getting a prompt to restart my computer. My question is, what drivers/bootloaders should I be using, whats the difference between kalyway and iatkos? Can someone give me a step by step on what drivers to pick and such. Im doing a clean install, no dual booting.

 

Also, if I start with leopard installed and later went to say... windows 7 would I be able to dual boot the two of them together rather easily? what would be involved
