darthkud
This one has got me stumped. Here's the setup. DP43TF Intel with Intel 2.6 Quad Core. OSx86 wiki pages says "iPC 10.5.6 + Driver for network, Audio. (shutdown, FireWire, USB, Sata working out of the box).." I tried installing without any drivers, just the vanilla kernel and EFI which it says it should work. I will always get a successful installation but once I restart I get the circle with a cross through it after a while. Booting with the -v flag gives me the "waiting for root device" I've tried installing the two different chipset drivers for Intel included on the iPC disc but to no avail. Ideas anyone? norrichtel
I have the same problem. I am now looking into building my own boot132 disk with various selection of kexts to see if I get it to work. Don't think it has to do with ICH10. norrichtel
OK the problem is that you need to enable AHCI in the bios - not IDE. It will then boot and you can install the iPC distro or IDeneb distro. I am still looking for a boot 132 disk, so if anyone has an idea post a link. cheers, Nor Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/153474-ipc-1056-install-on-a-dp43tf-problems/#findComment-1093912 Share on other sites

Booptorsshego
I have several 10.4.9 images. None of which see my SATA drives. I have a Intel chipset if i am not mistaken. I think the problem might be that i dont have a spare empty full drive to install it on and that it isnt formatted or blank and ready to roll.
