I have 1GB @ 800Mhz of Ram

But on the "About this Mac" its says "1 GB 333 MHz.."

I'm wondering is this has anything about my bad video performance, yesterday i tried to view a movie in full screen in VLC, and the FPS were very low.

Hardware:

Asus P5LD2-SE [intel 945P/G chipset]

2.13 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo

1GB 800Mhz

XFX Geforce 8600GT 256Mb

Bootin with this comand: "cpus=1" since i have some issues with my mainboard Chipset (acording the people on the iRC Channel).

Help!

Well, even at 800Mhz, you should still have more than 1GB of memory, which could be causing the problem,

as for the 333Mhz in the mac info, it is most likely a driver problem, but i'm not too good on that topic, sorry.

I have the same Graphics card by the way ;)

maybe part of the problem is caused by lack of support for that speed ram

So, the motherboard does not support 800Mhz.. Dam

Even so, it should be at least 667Mhz, and not 333Mhz..

Is there any way to change this in the Bios perhaps?

In my experience it's always best to use fully compatible components to rule out any issues that could be caused by miss matches.

Is you video fully supported? QE/CI?

Have you tried using quicktime full screen? try installing the perian plug in if quicktime doesn't support the video format you are using.

Well, i sure have to thank you SO MUCH, because finnaly, thanks to you by telling me to try and view the video with QuickTime with the Perian Plugin, i can now view it in full screen without no problem. For that i thank you.

You asked me if my video supported QE/CI, i think your talking about Quartz Extreme and Core Image, and if so, that is another issue i would like to talk about.

My Graphic card is a XFX NVidia Geforce 8600GT 256Mb, on the System Profile, that does not show there. I'll try to type everything that's saying about her:

Graphics by NVIDIA

Chipset Model: Graphics by NVIDIA

VRAM (Total): 256 MB

Vendor: NVIDIA (0x10de)

Revision ID: 0x00a1

ROM Revision: Nvinject 0.2.1 <-

Maybe i'm using the wrong kext for my graphics, please, tell me what you think i can do to make it better.

Best Regards,

John Maia
