TheMetsAreBad
Hey, I have successfully installed Mac OS X86 on my old 1.6GHz Dell with 512MB RAM. Everything works except internet and sound, and I am purchasing a new network card so the internet will work. I currently have the Creative Sound Blaster CT4780 sound card (I believe it's fairly old), and was wondering if anybody has any suggestions of how I could get it working. I do have the AppleAC97Audio.kext installed, and OSX still does not recognize the output in the sound preferences. Am I going to have to purchase a new sound card aswell? If so, does anybody know of any PCI sound cards that will definately work (without any patches preferably) with OSX86? Preferrably something cheap (I don't need to be able to support anything more then 2.1 sound). Thanks in advance, Jeff Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/1507-soundcard-not-recognized/ Share on other sites
