jzr
This is my first adventure into hackintosh land and I have tried iDeneb 10.5.5, Kalyway 10.5.2 and the only one that works for me is iAtkos 10.5.5 (5i). I have an Acer Aspire 1640 (1641WLMi) and have tried installing with many different options to finally get one that boots correctly 95% of the time. Using Chameleon bootloader and StockACPI modified. At boot my PCI card bus is never recognised. Tried installing IOPCMCIAFamily kext but then booting failed - 'still waiting for root device'. I have Texas Instruments PCI 1510 onboard. Strange thing is though, I upgraded my kernel to 9.2.0 netkas with speedstep and on first reboot in verbose mode when it gets to IOPCI bit it found my cardbus!!! but now everytime i reboot I keep getting 'failed to configure machine' error. I tried restoring original kernel and then installing netkas again but no luck! Also , I tried new kernel because when installing iDeneb, boot time was really quick - thought this was the kernel but I amt aking 3-4minutes to boot with iAtkos - new kernel didnt help either Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/150395-help-pci-carbus-not-recognised-in-iatkos-1055/ Share on other sites
