badsubby
How fast did you burn the dvd? Although, I dont think that'll make that big of a difference and dont have anything to do with restart. ( I take it your on windows ) Alcohol 120% is the best. Have look here: http://trial.alcohol-soft.com/en/ Did you burn it as a data disk or as a boot disk? you must make sure to burn as a bootable dvd If you did these things.... Did you use good quality media? If so burn again at SLOWEST POSSIBLE SPEED! good luck Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/148759-can-you-help-me-cant-intall-ipc-osx86-1056/#findComment-1053465 Share on other sites
insomnimac
Meh, I burnt my disk at 18x speed and all is good as long as you verify disk contents before install and not just press skip. polorix
SirCuiBap, Make sure you check the MD5 sum before burning, Also, you could use one of the burning bloatware programs already suggested, or you can use the little program called "ImgBurn" It's small, easy, and quick to the point. Just click the burn image to disc button and away you go, will burn at disc or drives max speed and will automatically make it bootable as per ISO's instructions. Good luck. btw, I just used that last night and OMG I love iPC everything worked flawlessly! Good luck. btw, I just used that last night and OMG I love iPC everything worked flawlessly! A+ ImgBurn is a lovely utility, and I used it initially to burn iPC 10.5.6. However, DVD+/-R discs should NEVER EVER EVER be burned at max speed. This creates more room for data loss/corruption. Always burn at 8x or slower. CD's are generally okay at max speed, but DVD's are much more prone to problems related to high speed burning. Just my 2 cents. Leon321: I see you installed the AppleNForceATA driver. This driver NEVER works right. Use AppleNForceATATest instead. polorix
Sure, download the ppf patch for the newer nforce kext.....or work on getting it to boot up first... Thanks for your answer. Following your suggestion I Used iPCPPF5.iso and I applied V1.1 PPF patch checked all md5 OK Once again the burned DVD from iso failed to launch setup So I used Nick Jaunich's nForce Extensions.mkext and then setup started from burned DVD. Great! OK let me repeat my HW configuration: Mother board :AM2NF3-VSTA ASROCK Proc AMD X2 4200 + audio: Cmedia CM6501 SATA IDE: nvidia Nforce3 250 PATA & ATA Network : Realteck Video : Nvidia GeForce 7600 GS Now here are custom options selected : iPC OSX86 10.5.6 Base System Language french kernel Voodoo driver video NVidia Geforce 7600GS Chipset drivers AppleNforceATATest (MeDevil) Audio other Azalia audio Ethernet driver Realtek R1000 Fixes & patches Seatbelt.kext 10.5.5 Alternate bootloader chameleon with DSDT/custom boot picture DVD check pass through OK Installation takes around 17 minutes then at first boot I select option -f and I got the error com.nvidia.driver.AppleNForceATA... see picture below http://www.monsterup.com/image.php?url=upload/1234286330.jpg Any help appreciated.... westwaerts
set EXECUTABLE BITS TO ENABLED, CPUID disabled in Bios. nvidia chipset requires nvidia grafic drivers to be edited ( proper vendor and ID PCImatching) install without grafic injectors ( nvinject, nvkush, NVDarwin) , can be done later and see if you get behind the mirror.
