manbearpig33
OK, so I have 2 partitions on 1 hard drive on my laptop. The first one is dedicated to running Kalyway 10.5.2 and the second running Vista Ultimate. When I set the first partition as active I get the Darwin Bootloader screen that gives me 2 options, Mac or Vista. The Mac one boots up Leopard and runs fine. When I select Windows I then get the windows boot loader with 3 options. Setting the second partition to active gives the same result only skipping the Darwin loader. The first is NTS Mac OSX or something, the second is Vista Ultimate (recovered) which is the correct one, the third one is Mac OSX but it boots into my vista. My question is how to get rid of the windows boot loader completely so I can just use the Darwin loader. This problem stems from me trying to use bcdedit and do something with chain0, turns out my problem was all I needed to do was set the first partition as active to get into Darwin. Now when I run bcdedit from vista nothing comes up. I've tried the Vista repair disc to repair startup options and it just sits there forever scanning and doesn't do anything. I have a Gateways NX860 XL with a Intel T7400 2.16 GHz core 2 duo, 2 GB ram and an nVidia 7900 Go GS. I appreciate the help in advance! Thanks.
