I´ll hijack this thread since I can´t start another one.

I am following this recipe on installing X on S101:

But when I try to boot from the USB key I get stuck at the same point as this guy:

I just select the USB memory from the device menu and see only cursor “_” blinking. I’ve never gotten a prompt to put in the boot option.

To which the author say:

Q – Boot from USB problem with cursor _ blinking.

A – Incorrectly setup the USB stick… remember its not creating a usb install for a Mac its creating one for a hackint0sh…

I am not quite sure what he means here.

THe USB stick is formatted as I would any other bootable Mac disk (Mac OS X Extended (journaled) + GUID partition table). I use the mounted iATKOS disk as source when I “burn” the USB disk. What am I doing wrong?

I am having similar problems too. Did you ever get it to work?

Has anyone had any luck installing Mac OS 10.6.3 on the Asus Eee PC s101? I have a retail version of SL 10.6.3 and have attempted version 1 and 3 of the guides located here. I have not had much luck. I can get the netbook CD to load and then I can switch to either a prepared USB or the actual retail Mac OS install DVD but after seeing the gray mac icon I will immediately get a kernel panic along with the Apple multilingual error telling me to restart my computer. Below I have pasted what I can read out of the kernel panic:

panic(cpu 0 caller 0x2a96f6): "Version mis-match between Kernel and

CPU PM"@/SourceCache/xnu/xnu-1504.3.12/osfmk/i386/pmCPU.c:720
