eee.imtiaz
Hello all, I am searching this forum for a solution to my problem, but I couldn't find one. Here is my problem [i think it has been posted on other threads as well, but as I didn't find any solution, I am rephrasing it] I own a PC with configuration as follows: Pentium 4 2.4GHz with HT, 800MHZ FSB Intel D865PERL Motherboard, sound built in, no on board LAN 1536MB RAM 400MHz bus Asus GeForce FX 5200 128MB graphics card Lite-on IDE DVD drive Samsung 40GB IDE HDD I have downloaded Kalyway 10.5.1 and burnt it on a dvd with very low speed. The md5sums were correct. When I try to boot my PC from the DVD, it initially loads some files for around 3 minutes and then my system reboots. This continues indefinitely. I have tried the following things as per the instaructions on this forum: 1. boot with "cpus=1 -x -f -s -v" [and different combinations of them!] 2. boot with "-v -legacy cpus=1" 3. boot with setting my HDD as secondary and DVD drive as primary by shifting the jumper 4. disabled hyper threading from BIOS 5. boot with removing the IDE HDD and plugging in a SATA HDD 6. disabled SATA support 7. set ACPI state to S3 8. disabled Intel Rapid BIOS boot But the pity is, after doing all these things and ofcourse trying different combinations of them, I failed to bring the mac os x installation screen. Could anyone please tell me exactly what should I do to install Kalyway 10.5.1 on my PC. My PC configuration supports the HCL on osx86 wiki for mac os x 10.5.1. So I don't think it is a hardware incompatibility problem, or is it one? Please help me to make a way out of this mess. Thanks in advance.
