Resolution issues (not how do i change from 1024...)

Hi guys.

 

I've just installed osx86 with the boot123/retail method. Everything is working fine execpt when I change resolution the screen goes blue but never refreshes. If I restart it's desplays my new resolution fine. But obviously that's a problem if I try to play Simcity etc... That game and others automatically change the resolution for me and I just get left with a blue screen.

 

Like I said, I used boot123/retail and have 10.5.6 working on my:

p5k-vm

2g ram 800

Q6600

and 8600 GT

 

Any Ideas on fixing this? Every search I try ends up with results on 'How do I change from 1024/800 (or whatever the default resolution is)

 

If you can help me fix this I shall grant thee three wishes.

I dont know how to solve this problem exactly , but from my point of view ,i think i know how to make these games work!

The way is that ,you have to find the default resolution of the game and then change your resolution to that one ,restart and

then play the game - ie as u have already made the game resolution , the game wont change the resolution again!

 

To make resolution problem solved , try changing your graphics driver ,for eg from nvinject to nvkush!

It's hard for me to know the game resolution as every time I start it I get the blue screen and have to restart. So I'd like to try changing the drivers. Does anyone know how I would change the nvinject to nvkush. I'm finding it hard to digest all the kexts and driver instructions.
