I'm running iDeneb 10.5.5. All features work. Quartz Extreme, USB, Audio, etc. Abit IP35 Pro mobo / Q6600 processor / 2gb ram

After running it for a few days, something happens and I get programs hanging with a spinning wheel. VLC just did it where I could open an avi file, but only audio would play and then I'd get a spinning wheel while the audio plays. Application became unresponsive.

Other operations like .dmg mounting or time machine also get hung up indefinitely.

I deleted the Extensions.mkext and rebooted, but -f would not get system to reboot successfully. Without -f it rebooted fine.

I have 'put hard drive to sleep' disabled in system prefs / energy saver.

No IDE drives attached. Everything SATA.

Try changing the Kext!

Thanks for the suggestion, but which kext?!? Do you have a link to any instructions on dealing with this issue?
