lurscher
Hi, As my signature says, i installed 10.5.6 retail with efi boot everything seems to be working. Audio is only stereo but besides that minor glitch everything is working great. The only annoyance is this: if i boot with the FW drive plugged, they will show up ok, but if i plug it after it has boot, it doesn't show up If the drive was plugged when i boot, and then i unplug, two things happen: if i replug in a short lapse (less than 5 minutes) they will reappear (in Finder), like an usual hot plugging it if i replug after longer (over an hour, maybe) it will not reappear any suggestions where to start attacking this issue? i found on the forums some people with problems mounting usb drives, but couldn't find anything concrete besides those vague references any idea what causes this? Reveeen
any idea what causes this? Junk? From the beginning of time (almost) Macs have used Texas Instruments Firewire controllers on their motherboards. What are you giving it? http://www.asus.com/products.aspx?modelmen...l3=815&l4=0 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/147438-fw-drive-wont-hotplug/#findComment-1047046 Share on other sites
