I am having problems with the EFI boot method and OS X Server, the server serial number keeps getting dropped and so you cannot use the GUI to configure the server, has anyoone else seen this and does anyone know why or have a work around ??

I am using Munkys EFI boot loader (excellent) and I have a full bona Fide copy of OS X Server

Thanks

I am using Munkys EFI boot loader with OSX Server 10.5.6 w/no problems... Information shows my server license and the services seem to be operational..

I have a SSD with a usb port on it, I plugged into my MacBook Pro and installed it using the OSinstall.mkpg from the Server Retail DVD and selecting the USB disk, I then installed the Server Combo 10.5.6 update to the USB disk and then put it back into my server using SATA, I booted a Leo DVD and repaired permissions as I had a problem doing this from my MacBook.

I then used the grub-dfe.iso to boot the new system and followed Munksys's guide to install his boot loader, I used the 10.5.6 ktext pack from this thread: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=76404 and rebooted... Worked fine, even got my 9400GT working beautifully with Aquos drivers and EFI string and ran a system update.

I just did this today, my first osx86 install and I am elated how well its working..

*edit*

I joined in July and this is my first post and first hack, wh00t.. anywase, back on topic.
