tworats
I'm about to head out to Fry's to buy a E5200 + NV GeF7 motherboard, can I make it a working hackintosh? I can't find any info on the NV GeF7 and OS X. Thanks. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/147388-e5200-nv-gef7-hackintosh/ Share on other sites
Synaesthesia
I don't think it will work easily. I recommend you get a Gigabyte GA-EG31M-S2L at newegg, and an E5200. The E5200 has dropped in price to $69, and the motherboard will cost like $60. The Gigabyte can also overclock nicely. You also need a cheap VGA card. Look in the Wiki HCL http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.php/HCL_10.5.2 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/147388-e5200-nv-gef7-hackintosh/#findComment-1044769 Share on other sites
Dr. Hurt
Intel chipsets are always better with OS X. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/147388-e5200-nv-gef7-hackintosh/#findComment-1044811 Share on other sites

Synaesthesia
Maybe just wait a day or two. Intel is supposed to be releasing a new E5400 and reducing the price of the E5200 then. http://www.overclock.net/hardware-news/441...ces-sunday.html As you can see, E5200 for $64 down from $84 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/147388-e5200-nv-gef7-hackintosh/#findComment-1045407 Share on other sites
