I don't think it will work easily. I recommend you get a Gigabyte GA-EG31M-S2L at newegg, and an E5200.

 

The E5200 has dropped in price to $69, and the motherboard will cost like $60. The Gigabyte can also overclock nicely.

You also need a cheap VGA card. Look in the Wiki HCL

Synaesthesia, thanks for both pointers, I'll go for the newegg option you suggest.

Maybe just wait a day or two. Intel is supposed to be releasing a new E5400 and reducing the price of the E5200 then.
