Hello, i have a ASUS P5n-e SLI mobo with the nForce 650i chipset and i downloaded every "distribution" of OSX(86) that i found, iAtkos, iDeneb, XxX, Jas and mac.nub

Every time i booted from the dvd, my system would just restart, freeze, or give the "Still waiting for root deveice" error, along with the SAM Multimedia one.

The only relevant option i have in the bios is to disable the Jmicron controller, and that has no efect whatsoever.

I gave up and tried to install it trough VmWare.... it worked lile a charm, took about 10 minutes :D

The only problem is that when i boot it native it is giving me a kernel panic.... but now it sees my HDD and the nforce 650i chipset :))....

the image is 10.4.10 mac.nub and from the patches i selected the IntelNforce fix, NVinject 256, Jmicron, Sata, ACL 883

What's causing the panic ? was it one of the patches ? the CPU ?

I've uploaded a photo of the panic.

i tried to boot with the -x and other args like cpus=1 but it was the same.

My quick system specs :

Pentium D 930@3.0 Ghz

ASUS p5n e

Gainward nVidia 7300GT

one IDE 80GB HDD (windows & osx)

3 250 Gb S-ATA HDD's for data

some help would be apreciated

i tought since it was a display problem i reinstalled osx, selecting natit instead of nvinject, same kernel panic and so i did this :

(my card is an Gainward 7300GT Bliss, and device ID is 0x0393)

added device ID in /system/library/extensions/NVDAResman.kext/contents/info.plist

and in /system/library/extensions/NVDANV50Hal.kext/contents/info.plist

and in Titan.kext/contents/info.plist

(i did this in single user mode with nano)

when i attempted to chown -R root:wheel /system/library/extensions it gave me a kernel panic (something about IOATAController and others) so i went back in vmware, booted the install dvd and repaired permissions using disk utility, then rebooted native into single user mode and rm /system/library/extensions.mkext and after another reboot, i get the same kernel panic !

what's the problem ?
