cpu fan running too frequently

i just finished installing kalway 10.5.2 and everything works great except for the fact it is running hot and the cpu fan kicks on for about 10 seconds every minute or so. Can someone please give me some instruction on how to fix this. I am new to this and need all the help i can get. Thanks for all the help.

Are you using a laptop? If so you probably need speedstep so the cpu doesn't run at full speed when it isnt needed.

is there a guide on how to do this? As you noticed im new to this and dont want to screw up my install. Any help you can give me would be great. and yes it is a laptop.

I personally use that kext, but superhai has also made a variation that apparently supports more cpus. If you don't have success with the one above then superhai's kext would be your next option.
