UnaClocker Posted January 11, 2009 Share Posted January 11, 2009 Seems that the Dell laptops have excellent compatibility. Just make sure you get one with an Intel CPU, not AMD. If you can use a Netbook, the Mini9 is 100% compatible, everything works, and it's butt simple to install onto. UnaClocker Posted January 12, 2009 Share Posted January 12, 2009 Oh yeah, more than enough power for 10.5, probably be even faster when 10.6 comes out since that version is supposed to be more streamlined. The Atom CPU performs about the same as the same clock speed G4, so it's as fast as any G4 ever was, only far more compatible nowadays because it's an Intel processor. Thanks to the hyperthreading, it's essentially a dual core CPU, it can run two threads at once.
