csn_pilot
I am having a problem setting up a retail vanilla installation on an acer aspire one A150. On one partition, I have BrazilMac 10.5.1 working pretty well, and from there I installed from my retail dvd to the other partition. Then, I installed 10.5.2 update, Leopard graphics update, and finally 10.5.4 combo update. I installed pc_efi_v8 to the vanilla 10.5.4 partition and set it active, etc. I removed the AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext, and put in AppleSMBIOS.kext dsmos.kext, ACPIPS2NUB.kext, ApplePS2Controller, also. I have used OSx86Tools to install all of the kexts, so all permissions should be fine. I rebuilt the boot cache for the vanilla partition. I am using the 0x27ae graphics, which I also installed this way. I have checked ACPIPS2NUB info.plist to make sure all of the references to other kexts were fine, and they are correct. But still, when I boot the vanilla partition, it reboots to the bios within five or so seconds, and in verbose mode, I can't tell what it is saying. Is this perhaps related to Execute disable bit? I see no option to disable or enable it in the BIOS. I also have another computer, a dell e1505 on 10.5.4 vanilla with no issues, and I vaguely recall something like this. Is it to do with AppleAPICPlatform. Thanks in advance for your help.
